“Good Morning Beautiful”

My husband has a servant’s heart. He serves our community as a councilman. He serves our church as an elder, and he serves our family as its leader. He is always willing to go the extra mile to make things special, he will cook for and feed the masses, and he uses his gifts and talents wisely.

Every morning this sweet man brings me my coffee. It always tastes best when he makes it. He says it is because he puts an extra spoonful of love in it. He pours that coffee in my cup and sets it down on the table next to me and says, “Good Morning Beautiful.” That is exactly what my cup says, and he makes a point to say it out loud each time. He makes a point to serve his wife each morning, and he does it joyfully. He takes the time to make me feel special each day. It is such a small gesture, but it speaks volumes to me about the depth of his love and devotion to me.

God has placed in my path a man who will love, honor and treasure me all my days. I have been gifted with this person who finds joy in making me smile. I am not a morning person. I am not a raving beauty. But this man….he makes my mornings a little brighter, and sees the beauty in me that I cannot. Thank you, Lord, for this sweet, precious, and priceless gift. I am blessed!

“Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grave of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.” 1 Peter 3:7
