According to Matthew 20:28, Jesus “did not come to be served, but to serve.” In a marriage, this is a great way to view our relationship with our husband. Keep in mind that God created us to be a helper to our spouse.
Are you your husband’s greatest supporter? Do you stand behind him and encourage his efforts? Do you praise his achievements? Do you share in his responsibilities and give him your sincere cooperation? This is all part of God’s plan for your life together. Having this mindset will help you to be more like Christ, and to be that Godly wife, that virtuous woman, that He calls you to be.
