The Value of Motherhood

Consider this….being a mother is the greatest position of ministry that God can give us.  When we have a great desire for God’s Word, our children receive the blessings of that desire.  God expects us to teach His Word to our children.  Of all we do for our children, teaching His word must be our greatest passion.  When we do this, we teach them the value of salvation and the value of living an eternity in His kingdom.

Our role as mothers is to teach our children the practical and scriptural wisdom they will need for their daily life.  Deuteronomy 6:6-7 is a message from God to parents:  “These words which I command you today shall be in your heart; you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”

Remember, we teach this wisdom to our children no only through our WORDS, but also by the way we LIVE OUR LIVES in front of them.  Be a GODLY EXAMPLE to your children!
